We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being a longtime user of Stoplight. For those of you who have been here with us since our Stoplight Classic and Stoplight NEXT days, we appreciate you immensely! As the API industry evolves, we want our product offerings to do the same. Please note legacy systems are sunsetting on December 31, 2021.

Changes to Expect
Now that you know more about the benefits of Stoplight Platform, there are some changes to be aware of that impact your migration experience.
Hubs
NEXT allows for multiple Hubs per project. We will only be able to move and transform one Hub per project with our upcoming migration tooling - we'll pick the largest one if there are multiple.
Scenarios
We will not be moving Scenarios over; Platform does not support Scenarios.
Custom Docs Features
Certain docs features like custom CSS, custom JS, custom landing pages, and custom domains cannot be moved over. We will be sharing documentation about how to perform custom work with an Elements Dev Portal soon.
Account Ownership
At the moment we are not planning to move other user accounts or ownership information over to Platform - all of the migrated projects will be owned by the user that initiated the transfer with our upcoming migration tool, and this user will be the only member.
Teams
We are planning to release a new Groups functionality in Platform to replace Teams. Learn more about this feature on our roadmap and stay tuned for more information.
Discussions
We don't have discussions yet, so NEXT Discussions cannot be migrated. Learn more about a possible replacement feature for Platform on our roadmap and stay tuned for more information.
Getting Started
Our goal is to make migration smooth and efficient for all. For those of you who have data and projects to transfer to the new platform, we are here to help. The Administrator of your Stoplight Platform account will need to handle this process. Anyone can take the first step in getting started by creating a workspace in Stoplight Platform.
Data Transfer
After you’ve set up a new account on Stoplight Platform, as needed, the Administrator of your Stoplight Platform account can begin the process of transferring data. You can find the links to migration tooling for Classic and NEXT accounts below. We will be providing you regular updates during the depreciation period to ensure you have what you need to get you and your team transitioned. Thanks for being a part of the Stoplight community!
